In this exclusive interview, a senior humanitarian worker with years of experience in Afghanistan shares their perspective on the current situation in the country.

Q: What does daily life look like in Kabul today?

The city has changed significantly. There's a different atmosphere, more restrictions, but daily life continues. People go to work, children play, markets are open. The resilience of Afghans never ceases to amaze me.

Q: What are the biggest challenges for humanitarian work?

Access remains a constant negotiation. We work with the authorities to ensure we can reach those in need, but it requires patience and persistence. Funding is another major challenge—donor fatigue is real.

Q: What gives you hope?

The Afghan people themselves. Their strength, their humor, their determination to build better lives despite everything. That's what keeps us going.
