Reader support and payment information
Stripe processes reader-support payments. If PayPal is offered, it acts as an alternative third-party payment processor. Payment details are entered into the payment provider’s systems. Kateb Media does not collect or store complete card numbers or card security codes.
Kateb Media may receive limited payment-related information, including contribution status, amount, date, payer contact information where provided, and processor references. We use this information to administer support, answer questions, handle refund requests and maintain necessary records.
Payment and accounting records may be retained where necessary for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or administrative reasons. Stripe and PayPal handle information under their own privacy policies.
When enabled, support analytics record interactions using limited information such as language, article slug, selected tier and contribution type. We do not send names, emails, card information, billing addresses, bank details or payment/transaction identifiers to analytics. Thank-you-page visits do not establish that a payment was received.
